Goalers Academy is a dedicated netball shooting program designed to help young athletes aged 11 to 16 develop every aspect of their game inside the goal circle. What You Will Develop

Each session is structured to develop four core skill areas that every goal shooter and goal attack needs to perform at their best:

Shot Technique

Build a repeatable, consistent shooting action that holds up under pressure. Coaches will analyse your current mechanics and provide targeted cues to improve your stance, arm position, release point, and follow-through. Combined with reps on the Netball Shot Pro machine, athletes will develop muscle memory that translates directly into higher conversion rates on game day.

Footwork

Master the landing patterns, pivots, and balance fundamentals that underpin legal and effective play in the goal circle. Good footwork creates the stable platform that every accurate shot depends on. Athletes will practice receiving the ball under pressure, controlling their landing, and setting up cleanly for their shot.

Re-feeding

Learn how to keep the ball alive around the circle with smart, decisive re-feeds when the shot is not on. Re-feeding is one of the most under coached skills in the goal circle, and developing a strong passing game between goalers and their midcourt creates more scoring opportunities and puts defenders under greater pressure.

Goal Circle Movement and Rotations

Understand how to create space, read defenders, and time your rotations to maximise scoring opportunities. Athletes will develop their spatial awareness inside the circle and learn the patterns of movement that allow goal shooters and goal attacks to work together effectively as a unit.

  • 11 Under (Born 2015 & 2016) = 3:00pm - 4:00pm

  • 13 Under (Born 2013 & 2014) = 4:00pm - 5:00pm

  • 15 Under (Born 2011 & 2012) = 5:00pm - 6:00pm

*Note: Athletes must be born in one of the above years to be eligible for the Academy.
