Beginner Umpire Development
Face to Face Workshops
Our face to face Netball Umpire Development Workshops offer aspiring umpires a boutique experience to learn and develop their umpiring craft.
We cover all aspects of Netball Umpiring, covering technical knowledge, error detection as well as understanding effective communication strategies to get the most out of your umpiring.

1. The Umpires Journey: provides a practical approach to the umpire pathways as well as what equipment is important to have as a beginner umpire.
2. The Umpires Toolbox Pt.1: The focus of toolbox Pt.1 is position, vision and timing of umpires during a match.
3. The Umpires Toolbox Pt. 2: The focus of toolbox Pt.2 is centred around effective communication and game management / game leadership.
4. Umpiring Behind the Scenes: The focus of umpiring behind the scenes is to provide a practical approach to performance review as well as provide an introduction into the high performance behaviours you can embed into your umpiring.

Since 2019 we have been building Netball Umpire Development programs from the ground up.
Designed by elite level umpires who take their knowledge from working in the Suncorp Super Netball competition and have blended it into a program suited to help every beginner umpire gain the confidence they need to blow their whistle for the first time.
Most commonly run of 4 consecutive weeks, participants are taken through a journey of learning and understanding key rules and hand signals, practical application through on court drills that provide an environment to “feel” what it’s like to be out on court before moving into match play situations.
The Netball Vault™
The Netball Vault™ is an engaging new educational platform designed for Netball Coaches, Umpires and Athletes to further develop their craft. The content has been developed by Elite Accredited Coaches, Former Australian Mens Netballers, International Umpires and Leadership professionals.
The Umpires Vault™ includes full video resources on skill development including error detection and correction, skill progression and regression, technical and tactical development as well as physical/mental preparation and wellness techniques. Our aim is to support every Coach, Umpire & Athlete become the best version of themselves no matter their age, level of experience, gender or where they live in the world.
